Born on the beautiful shores of Jersey, Rich Allo creates alternative rock and indie music built around powerful vocals, larger-than-life choruses and cinematic instrumentation. His songs balance theatrical ambition with emotional honesty, turning stories of love, loss, relationships and personal struggle into something both deeply personal and universally relatable.
Inspired by artists including Keane, Elton John, David Bowie, Queen, Bruce Springsteen and The War On Drugs, Rich draws from the grandeur of classic rock and the atmosphere of modern alternative music. His music can move from soaring, anthemic moments to intimate, piano-led reflections, always driven by a desire to tell the truth of the human experience.
Growing up in Jersey, Rich’s musical journey began early, starting on drums at the age of six before moving to acoustic guitar, piano, and eventually discovering his voice as a singer at 17. His songwriting evolved from poetry into powerful, introspective lyrics that speak to feeling lost, hopeful, and everything in between.
A dynamic performer, Rich has played to crowds of hundreds at major events in his hometown, including Jersey Weekender, The Battle of Flowers, and Channel Islands Pride. His live shows have also reached audiences in London’s vibrant Soho and Shoreditch scenes, performing both solo and alongside his band. Known for his wide vocal range and energetic stage presence, Rich brings theatricality and emotion to every performance - a reflection of his background as an actor and drama graduate from Kingston University (2016-2019).
To date, Rich has independently recorded and produced five studio albums. His latest release, 'Only Me', is his most personal yet - a pop-rock collection chronicling the transition from youth into adulthood, capturing the uncertainty and self-discovery of life in your mid-twenties. Beneath the melancholy, Rich’s music carries a message of resilience: a reminder that it’s okay to feel sad and alone - these moments, too, will pass.
Through his music, Rich invites listeners into a unique sonic space, empowering them to find hope and strength in vulnerability.
